It makes note-taking and sharing feedback with colleagues and friends a breeze by removing the steps required to get your thoughts and ideas to (digital) paper. Jot makes your pen experience fun and intuitive.
Jot is designed to work across your screen space, whatever programs or apps you use. You can use Jot to draw and write over the top of screenshots, insert notes into documents or programs, and share ideas through a simple menu and pen commands.
Using Jot, you can glide between tasks and programs across your workflow with an intuitive menu bar that pops-up instantly when you need it.
Once the Jot menu is open, you can perform a range of tasks to make your workflow more seamless.
Jot is available for free from the Mac App Store and Windows Store. Once uou download Jot and set yourself up, you’re seconds away from a more productive workflow.
The Jot menu can be summoned with a tap and click of the pen (with MacOS), or simple Windows + J (with Windows). Once Jot is active, a small half-wheel will appear with five easy command icons for you to access.
All Jot features are accessed with a simple pen click and tap on the touchscreen display surface.

There’s nothing quite like Jot. Jot is unique as it is designed to connect and integrate how you work across your applications, platforms and workflows while helping you take notes. It’s simple, easy and always on hand when you need it to work for you.
We came up with Jot as we could not find an application that could bring together multiscreen and touchscreen experiences and enhance note-taking, sketching, screenshotting, markups and written feedback.
You don’t need to use a pen but we highly recommend a pen and touchscreen to get the most from Jot.
Jot can be used on any computer with Mac OS (later than Ventura), or Windows 10 or 11.
Jot is not currently available for iPadOS or iOS.
Jot has been designed to work with a wide range of devices that utilise macOS (Ventura and later) and Windows (10 and 11). It is compatible with other touchscreens, but experiences can vary based on each specific product. For example, specific functionality for espresso Pen will not be available on other touchscreen devices.
Largely, the capability between Apple Mac and Windows versions of Jot are the same. There are some slight variations in functionality, including:
